Dr. Patricia Lee attended UBC for her undergraduate degree in Biology (’95) and her medical degree (’99).  She completed five years of Otolaryngology training in Vancouver. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at UBC and enjoys teaching medical students and residents.  In 2012, she completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education through the University of Dundee. She has been Otolaryngology Undergraduate Director as well as Surgery Clerkship Director and is an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.  She has served on the executive of the B.C. Otolaryngology Society since 2012. Patricia is married with 2 children. She balances work with playing ice hockey and learning to play the drums in her spare time.

Dr. Andris Blokmanis, MB BS FRCSC FRACS

Dr. Blokmanis graduated with a bachelor of medicine and a bachelor of surgery in Melbourne, Australia, in 1965. Following that he was a junior and senior house officer at Western General Hospital and then a pathology registrar at Prince Henry’s Hospital in Melbourne. He then went to London, England, to study at the Nuffield College, and he wrote the first part of his English Fellowship in 1969. He then came to Vancouver and spent the next three years at Vancouver General Hospital, BC Children’s Hospital and Shaughnessy Hospital and obtained his fellowship in otolaryngology with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Blokmanis was a fellow in otolaryngology (post-specialty training) at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and then at Stanford University Medical Center in California. He returned to British Columbia in 1974 and came on staff at the Vancouver General Hospital in the division of otolaryngology. He became a full-time faculty member at the University of British Columbia in 1979. After two years he went into private practice as a general otolaryngologist with a special interest in rhinology and otology. He then became interested in allergy, and in 1995 he obtained his specialty certification from the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy.

Dr. Taeed Quddusi, BSc MD FRCSC FRACS

After completing his undergraduate studies (With Distinction) in Biological Sciences and Psychology at the University of Alberta, Dr. Taeed Quddusi obtained his medical degree from the same institution in 2006, followed by the completion of his surgical training in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Manitoba in 2011. He accepted a position as Consultant Otolaryngologist and Clinical Instructor (University of Sydney) in New South Wales, Australia in 2012 and became the only internationally trained ENT surgeon in three years to have successfully obtained entry to the Royal Australasian College Of Surgeons. He returned back to Canada in 2016 and has been providing medical and surgical services to the Lower Mainland and Northern British Columbia since then.

His clinical practice includes diagnosis and treatment of allergies, and medical and surgical treatment of the following: tonsillitis, nasal obstruction, parotid tumors, thyroid tumors, parathyroid tumors, submandibular gland disease, sinusitis, ear infections. In addition to English, he also speaks Persian and French. Outside of medicine, he enjoys hiking, playing tennis and baseball, and travelling.

Dr. Kibblewhite is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery after successfully completing a rigorous set of oral exams and submitting two years of operative cases. He is also a Fellow of the American Association of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.

Upon receiving his Bachelor of Sciences degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 1976, he went on to earn a Doctor of Medicine in 1980 and followed up with a surgical internship at McGill University in Montreal (1981) and surgical training at Dalhousie University in Halifax (1983).

Linda Rammage, PhD, RSLP, SLP(C) is a provincially-registered and nationally certified speech-language pathologist who has been practicing speech-language pathology for over three decades, focusing exclusively in assessing and improving vocal function and developing effective voice therapy techniques. She has many years of experience teaching speech-language pathologists, graduate students of speech-language pathology and other voice care professionals, and has authored numerous professional book chapters, textbooks and therapy guides. She has travelled world-wide providing workshops for voice care professionals. She has worked for many years in an inter-professional environment, working closely with otolaryngologists (Ear, Nose and Throat specialists), psychiatrists, pulmonary specialists, neurologists and other medical and allied health professionals who have an interest in voice dysfunction. Linda has a background in music and choral singing and has collaborated with vocal pedagogues to provide workshops for recreational voice users.
